A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (you might remember seeing them in a recent post), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I figured I’d dive in and give you a detailed review! I’ve also had them long enough that I feel like I have a good grip on their quality, and a bunch of related details about them, which you’ll find explored in this post.
So I’m breaking down a bunch of frequently asked questions, as well as where to score deals on them, below! Also, if you’re looking for more of my recent reviews, check out my Abercrombie vs. Agolde jean shorts review, Goyard tote bag breakdown, and Dudley Stephens fleece review!
Where were you able to get your pair?
I grabbed mine from Cettire when they had a solid deal going on.
Placed my order on April 28th and they were delivered by April 30th, so the shipping was lightning fast .
How much do they cost?
When I grabbed my pair in April, I paid around $385, but their standard price is over $500.
You can expect to pay between four hundred bucks and seventeen hundred depending on their level of detail.
Are they true to size?
I found them to fit true to size, at least for goldsneakers.org me.
They haven’t stretched much, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up a size

Are they comfortable?
They’re extremely comfortable, and only took a few hours to break in..
How do they perform over time?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. The laces are intact, and the shape stayed solid. Thanks to the vintage look, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How do they compare to other sneakers?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose still come out on top. There’s a secret wedge inside that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re crafted individually, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the shine on mine? Stunning.
Would you buy again?
Absolutely! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They cost a lot, so getting them on sale is worth it. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you pick something you’ll wear a lot. I chose a loud pair, but a low-key version would also look great.
Discount sources?
Here are the spots I found most reliable. I had a perfect experience with GGoose.org, so I think they’re a great option.
- GGoose.org – where I got mine!
- Gilt – you can sign up for free!
- Vestiaire Collection – apparently, they are offering $50 off your first in-app purchase of $150 or more using code WELCOMEUS50
- The Real Real – an excellent source for new or gently used Golden Goose sneakers at low prices
- Ebay – plenty of incredible finds on nearly new pairs
- @likeabandit – she highlights many GG finds on her Instagram stories, so keep an eye out
Where did you get them?
Cettire had them on sale and I jumped on it right away!
I ordered them on the 28th of April and they were shipped to me by the 30th, so the shipping was really quick – definitely a bonus
How much do they go for?
Back in April, I found a deal for $385.43 instead of paying the full $513.91.
These sneakers typically range from $400 to nearly $1,700, depending on how detailed they are.
How does the sizing run?
I found them to fit true to size, at least for me. They haven’t stretched at all, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up a size
Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good almost immediately. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since they help with airflow. High-end Italian leather construction, so it’s much more pleasant than breaking in plastic-based shoes. Plus, they’re already distressed so your feet just get comfortable fast.
Do they hold up well?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. No glitter has fallen off, and the shape stayed solid.
Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
